So I sent a comment through the website, but I doubt it'll do any good. It's unfortunate, because Alaska was the only airline where they didn't treat you like a second class citizen even though you were sitting in coach. And, of course, the "MVP" and First Class customers don't have to pay this fee-they can check TWO bags for free. Jesus, I hate flying.

It's so sad to hear this. D and I were just commenting on how much we love Alaska because they weren't charging the fees and how they were actually getting our business because of it. Guess they aren't at the top of our list anymore.

Caroline, thanks for following up - its pretty sad that blogging dissatisfaction is one of the few effective ways to get a response these days.

I had found that form but the only way to get to it is to start here www.alaskaair.com/.../contact-info.asp, Choose '2' and then click the 'Post flights comments'. Nowhere does it suggest that general comments should go in the same place. When you see the form asks you for flight details the only conclusion is that its for issues with flights.

Maybe it should be more obvious..
